01.35 TAMPERING
SEALING OF METERS AND DEVICES
It is a Company practice to seal all meters. Where service entrance switches, wiring troughs or cabinets are connected ahead of meters or instrument transformers, they will also be sealed by the Company. When service is discontinued, existing seals will remain in place on all service equipment. No one, except an authorized employee of the Company, is permitted to remove a Company seal or padlock. All other persons are forbidden to interfere with any service connection, the meter and its connections, or company seals and locks, except as noted in Requirement 1.30.
Evidence of an unauthorized broken seal will result in prosecution. Any tampering with GPU Energy equipment or attaching any device which alters the registration of actual consumption is illegal. Violators will be prosecuted.
