and Meter Installation Requirements Guide 04.45 SERVICE CONDUCTORS Current carrying capacities of entrance conductors shall be in accordance with the NEC The grounded conductor shall be permanently identified by a white covering or other approved method of identification. On three-phase installations, conductors shall be marked in the meter cabinet and at the service head as indicated on diagrams and as described below. Services supplied 3-phase, 4-wire from Delta connected secondary systems shall have the phase conductor in the service entrance having the high voltage to ground identified at the service head, at the meter device and at the main switch. A permanent and effective means to provide proper identification shall be used. Application of orange plastic tape to the conductor is considered satisfactory permanent identification.
