06.15 METER PEDESTALS Use of this equipment is intended for installations for mobile homes or recreational vehicles (as defined by NEC Article 550 or Article 551 or the authority having jurisdiction).
It shall be the responsibility of the Customer to furnish and install a GPU Energy approved meter pedestal as determined by GPU Energy. See figure in Requirements 12.40 or 12.42 . For multiple lot installations, GPU Energy will determine the appropriate number and location of one-position and/or two-position meter pedestals.
A listing of approved meter pedestals can be found in the "Approved Meter Sockets", Section 13.30 .
All meter pedestals installed for single-phase 120/208 volt service shall be equipped with a fifth terminal preferably located in the 9 o'clock position.
It is the Customer's responsibility to have meter pedestals, including the meter mounting portion, maintained in a safe and operational condition in accordance with all applicable national and local codes.
